Big Cocks and Shamrocks Blog Hop-Full of Blarney

What can I say about big cocks and shamrocks? Hmm. I think I’m going to take the easy way out and talk about shamrocks. Or namely, my most recent visit to Ireland, when I was seventeen. (I’ll leave it up to you to guess how recent that was.)

We took a ferry from England over to Ireland. The trip itself was memorable because half the passengers got seasick…and for once, I wasn’t among them. But I digress. My first impression of the Emerald Isle as I got off the ferry was green. Green, green everywhere. I can’t say if any of that green consisted of shamrocks, but it doesn’t take much imagination to think that it did.

On that trip, I got to do something just as lucky as finding a four-leaf clover. I kissed the blarney stone.

I had always pictured the blarney stone as some sort of stone maybe lying on the ground that you went up and kissed. Not so. Blarney Castle is three stories high–castle kind of stories, not our standard 8-foot ceilings. The main floors of the castle are gone, so all that’s left is the outer walls, including a wide walkway along the top. You go up to the very top, walk along the walkway and then get in line to kiss the stone. (At least, this is how it was when I was seventeen.)

So far, this isn’t so bad. But the stone itself is part of an overhang which hangs lower than the floor of the walkway. To get to it, you have to lie on your back while someone helps to lower you over the edge, backwards, so you can get your mouth onto the stone. While I was hanging upside down, I could see three stories down to the dirt below. Only a small iron grate protected me in case the man holding me lost his grip.

And I’m afraid of heights.

But I did it! (I did, I admit, make my dad hold my ankles as extra insurance.) I can’t say that it gave me a silver tongue…I’ve always been a fairly quiet person…but it did give me a good story. 🙂

In my erotic paranormal romance novel Protecting the Pack, there are more big cocks than shamrocks. See the excerpt below to find out more about it, or try your luck with either the grand prize giveaway or my own giveaway just for this hop. (While you’re at it, check out my other giveaway going on right now and the Insatiable Reads Book Tour I’m part of.)

Comments will count double, not just for my giveaway but also for the grand prize of the blog hop. Please remember to include your email address in your comment for entry into the grand prize.

It took little more than three minutes to get to the Bluebell; they could have walked. Chris parked in the lot and turned to Ben. “Keys?”

“Got ’em.” Ben pressed his lips together in a sad attempt of a smile. “Room twelve.”

A few minutes later, they entered the room. Ben pushed the door closed and dropped the keys on the dresser. He still looked listless and distracted.

Chris took Ben’s face in his hands, his fingers brushing the soft hairs of his buzz cut. “We’ll get her back.”

“I know.” Ben wouldn’t look him in the eye.

“She’s so young. She didn’t know what she was doing. But we’ll show her. It’ll be okay.” Chris leaned forward and pressed his lips against Ben’s.

He’d never kissed another man before. He’d never imagined it could feel so right.

All of a sudden, Ben gripped him around the waist, pulling him closer. Their heights were about the same which made it easy to kiss. Ben’s hands dug into his back, his strong arms holding Chris tighter than any girlfriend ever had. He loved it.

Chris gave back as good as he got. He didn’t feel like he had to be gentle with Ben. His hands roamed over Ben’s body in rough strokes and squeezes. Ben did the same to him. Chris’ cock grew even harder.

Ben pulled Chris backward and after a couple of steps, they fell onto the bed, Ben yanking Chris on top of him. Looked like his mate wanted to be the alpha in the bedroom. Chris was used to being in charge everywhere, especially in bed, but this felt different. He realized he finally felt like he could relax. Without any evidence at all, he knew Ben would always stand by him.

But for now, Chris was on top. He pinned Ben’s wrists over his head before Ben could react. Then Chris ground his pelvis against Ben’s.
