Spooky Movies and TV – Fright Night H0p and #Giveaway

FrightNightBlogHop

You know what I love to do at Halloween? Watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer–particularly the Halloween episodes. Or hell, any of them. Buffy’s awesome!

Do you remember the one where Willow dresses up in a cute little costume for Halloween and then is too embarrassed to wear it, so she pulls a sheet over it and goes as a ghost? And then that guy casts that spell that turns everyone into their costumes…and Willow becomes a ghost and Xander is a commando and Buffy is a wilting Southern Belle…and then the vampires attack?

I could go on, but you get my drift. I’m not into the really, really scary movies (I still get chills when I think about Pumpkinhead, which a(n ex-)boyfriend made me watch twenty-five years ago) but there are lots of other Halloween movies and TV shows that are just plain fun. Charlie Brown, anyone?

What are your favorite Halloween movies and TV episodes?

While you’re scrolling down to the comment section to talk about your faves or to enter the giveaway at the bottom of the post, take a look at this excerpt from my latest release, Her Scottish Alpha, now available for just $0.99! And when you’re all done, scroll down a little further to the next post for another giveaway and to see all of the books on sale for $0.99 each as part of the Fangs, Fur and Magic event, including my book Her Forbidden Alpha.

Arousal?

She got aroused by weapons, by thick history tomes, and by Google. By men? Not so much. Not that she was gay, but it had been a long time since a man had anything to offer that she had the slightest interest in pursuing. So what was up with getting aroused by a six foot-something Scottish guy who had her effectively pinned?

Maybe it was because he was the first man in years who’d been able to pin her.

Before she could follow that thought–if she even wanted to–he spoke again. “What’s your name?”

“I’m not your mate.” She continued to struggle, though her efforts seemed feeble. The tension made her throat sound hoarse.

“Your name, lass. Mate or no, I want something to call ye.”

“You can call me ‘gone’ if you’ll just put me down.”

He growled. The damned werewolf actually growled at her. “Name.”

“Keira.”

“Keira.”

When he said her name, the sound rolled through her like a mini-orgasm. Good Gods, what was he doing to her? “Yes, Keira. Now put me down.”

“I canna. You’ll run, when what I need is for ye to hear me out.” The blasted man turned and walked her back through the Great Hall toward a long table at the far end.

She kicked at him but he didn’t even make a sound to indicate she’d impacted him. “You can’t just hold me prisoner.”

“I can, but I don’t want to. You’re my mate. I want to take you to my room, make love to you for days, then take care of you the rest of our lives.”

Keira sucked in her breath. She wasn’t sure if she was more surprised that what he described even sounded good or shocked that he thought she was the kind of woman he could coddle. “Do you know who I am?” she bit off.

A steamy werewolf romance in the Colliding Worlds series from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Tabitha Conall…

A dragon slayer, an alpha werewolf and a war.

Dragon slayer Keira Harlow is on a job when everything goes wrong. Her twin sister and partner disappears and worse, Keira herself gets nabbed by a werewolf who turns her on in a most disturbing way.

Deep in negotiations with a dragon shifter, Scottish and UK Alpha Lachlan MacPherson doesn’t expect his mate to barge into his home uninvited but when she does, there’s no way he’ll let her go.

While searching for Keira’s sister, a bigger problem arises–the English Alpha wants the position of UK Alpha which Lachlan holds by right of birth and he’s not above going to war to get it. If that weren’t enough, Keira has to find a way to get herself out of the situation with Lachlan. He might think they’re mates but she knows it can never be.

This 35,000+ word long book is the third in the Colliding Worlds series. HEA included.

Mine is the episode Fear Itself in the Buffyverse. I think it’s a different episode than yours, Buffy is wearing a red and white outfit with white sneakers, I don’t remember what the others are wearing and at the end the fear demon turns out to be less than they thought and Buffy quickly takes care of him.

I think I’m more a Carrie than a Buffy Person lol!!!

Buffy is all nails and hair styles – where Carrie is all action and who’s next – of course in the best possible taste lol!!! Well the best possible taste in a school gym 😀

Anyway … no matter who they are, they all bring sparkle to the Halloween season …. Lets hear it for the Clowns ………. – NO!!!

Cowards lol!!! 😀 Gotta love some IT!!! 😛

Damn . I wish he was my mate. Just speaking her name did it for me. Yep. I want this one. My favorite Halloween movie is Nightmare on Elm ST. The dream child . It was the only one that ever had me jump. She was o. The phone and the wall fell away, that did it. I never jumped at the movies before and not since. But the scariest movie I ever watched I was 10and mom and Westchester original Night of the Living Dead. . 47 years later and I’m still afraid of cemeteries. Don’t laugh at me. I’m old now

My favorite show on Buffy was the on where Zander called up the Demon of Dance. It was so funny and enjoyable.

My favorite Halloween tv show was the Big Bang Theory, where Sheldon fooled the guys into thinking he had created a path into another dimension.

Her Scottish alpha shows like a great read. Going on my TBR list.

  36. Brooke B. says:

    Oh this sounds awesome!

  37. Tabitha says:

    Thank you so much, everyone!!

Some great shows mentioned…Big Bang Theory is one of my favorite shows; I even watch all the re-runs I can find, LOL. I also love Practical Magic–I’ve seen it over and over. I think part of that for me is that it’s also all about sisters, and my own sister and I are very close. Love it.

What else–oh, yeah. I watch The Originals and I enjoyed Dracula (that got cancelled, right?) and I really like Sleepy Hollow. I’ve never seen Carrie, though. I guess I figure it’ll be too scary for me. Not sure. I like some stuff that others think is really frightening, like the Alien movies, but I stay away from Stephen King. I guess I figure he’s going to be really, really good at scaring people and I don’t want to have nightmares for the next few months, lol.
